Silver Drivers Safe Texans conducts programs to support traffic safety for Mature Drivers aged 55+, along with programs for pedestrians and bicyclists of all ages.
Programs are held at retirement centers, churches, schools, and/or community events. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of the participants and are offered at no
charge through funding from the Texas Department of Transportation. Silver Drivers Safe Texans follows the safe system approach focusing on raising awareness and educating safe road users, as well as educating Texas road users about safe vehicles, safe speeds, safe roads, and post-crash care. Silver Drivers Safe Texans conducts traffic safety educational programs with presentations and hands-on events:
